Classic Rancho Las Lomas Wedding + Behind the Scenes

Stephanie and Ryan got married in early June this year at Rancho Las Lomas, surrounded by timeless blush and ivory blooms that dressed up the space beautifully.

Throughout the planning process, the couple dreamed up lots of fun ideas for the space. A large crystal chandelier hung from the center of the teatro, a dozen white shepherd hooks laden with florals were lined down the aisle, and plentiful candlelight was sprinkled all over the venue. Anna from A Good Affair was instrumental in weaving together all of the details with the Stephanie and Ryan's own tastes and personality. James of Per Pixel Photography was everywhere at once, snapping beautiful portraits, detail shots, and even some behind-the-scenes photos. And, I haven't even started on the cake! Maria of Rooney Girl Bake Shop and I teamed up to place the florals on her four tiers of iced perfection. All these moving parts came together to make a gorgeous and memorable wedding for Stephanie, Ryan, and their dear ones. Enjoy!

What a wedding, don't you think?! It's so fun to have some behind-the-scenes shots to share with you, too. We're knees-deep in blooms this summer, so stay tuned for more blog posts of pretty flowers!

New Studio

Can you believe it? Summer is here again. The weather is warm, the floral coolers are working hard, and many of our brides and grooms are tying the knot in classic summer style, out on a lush grassy lawn, beneath a canopy of trees, or with their toes in the sand.

It feels great to have moved into a larger space that is so much better suited for florals. There is ample parking, a walk-in floral cooler, and enough loading space to load two vans at the same time (insert nerd emoji here)! We designed the space to suit our needs, with a large open client meeting area, offices, design studio, and a decor warehouse. It's the little things that make all the difference sometimes-- it seems that the flow of the design process has become more fluid, streamlined, and cohesive with these new tweaks!

Here is a sneak peek of our new studio, taken last month by friend, photographer, and wedding guru Katie Pritchard. Enjoy!

The Bloom Of Time at Franciscan Gardens San Juan Capistrano: Taylor & Michael

Taylor and Michael tied the knot this past October at Franciscan Gardens, one of our favorite venues to work at! Their wedding day was full to the brim with celebration, family, food, and love! For the florals and decor, Taylor and Michael wanted to strike the balance between elegant and country rustic, with a romantic look that felt polished yet still relaxed. So we went to work pairing soft, ruffly blooms with intriguing textural elements, lush greenery, and wildflower accents. Vintage milk glass vases and distressed wood elements lent a homey, rustic feel, and warm mercury glass candlelight glowed all evening. It was wonderful working alongside talented wedding pros The Heart's Haven Photography, 24 Carrots Catering, and Elevated Pulse Pro to bring Taylor and Michael's timeless vision to life!

The Bloom Of Time at The Ranch at Laguna Beach: Lauren & Aaron

We are just head over heels for this casually elegant and free-spirited wedding! It was high summer, at the all-new venue called The Ranch at Laguna Beach! There were so many sweet details and thoughtful touches woven throughout. Our bride Lauren chose an understated color palette of soft neutrals, earth tones, unexpected pops of soft peach and deep fig, and of course, many soft shades of green. She wanted the flowers to complement the natural setting: the sun-baked hills, green lawns, and grassy textures, so we supplemented our flower market purchases with foraged elements to add the natural feel that she was going for. Thanks to One Love Photography for these stunning images, and LB Event Planning for their wonderful job coordinating Lauren and Aaron's big day!

Looking Back on Summer

Hi there, and thanks for visiting! Adrienne here. I'm excited to announce our new website, offering lots of images of our past work as well as an improved layout, is finally here! Lately we've been 'knees-deep in flowers' as I like to say, which really isn't such a bad place to be! Warm days full of weddings, corporate events, flower deliveries, and exciting plans for what's ahead.

As warm summer starts to turn into golden autumn, I'm reflecting on just a few highlights of the season.

Summer started off with Cortney and Vartan's formal affair, which hosted 300 guests at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood. They were our largest centerpieces to date, tree-inspired creations which stood over 6 feet tall! We loved working with Cortney's unique color palette and big ideas. Thank goodness for Blue Ivy Events, keeping such a large wedding running smoothly!

Another highlight was the wedding of Kathryn and Mike at the Montage Laguna Beach with Lindsay of Bliss Productions. I'm stunned by Amanda McKinnon's gorgeous photos of their intimate nuptials and for so nicely documenting our hard work!

Another favorite summer moment is of our bride Jenna, who wore her flower halo beautifully, putting it on just after the ceremony at the Adamson House in Malibu. It was an unseasonably blustery July day, and she was so happy that the halo helped add some pizzazz back to her hairstyle--  it had started raining just as groom Derek was told to kiss his bride!

Most recently we had the pleasure of collaborating with our creative bride Lauren as she planned her nature-inspired wedding at The Ranch in Laguna Beach, CA, with LB Event Planning. We combined blooms from the flower market with foraged grasses, leaves, and fresh summer fruit such as figs and plums! Here is a sneak peek of the magic that was Lauren and Aaron's wedding.

We're gearing up for another busy few months, and we can't wait to share what's in store next. Here's where I'll share our inspirations and journal our flower-filled days as they unfold.
