Spring has Sprung!

Hi there! Adrienne here. Can you believe it? I am actually blogging! With all of the things I put on my (sometimes unrealistic) to-do list, "update the blog" does from time to time find itself being pushed to the bottom of the list. But here it is! A new post. And more to come after this, I promise!

We find ourselves again in Spring. This season has been full of exciting beginnings and fresh starts here at The Bloom Of Time. A new website design which showcases our recent wedding work! New shipments of on-trend Accent Decor vases for this season's weddings! Test-pouring our very own scented soy and beeswax candles, due out very soon! A collection of everyday floral arrangements which will soon be available to purchase online for delivery in Orange County!  And last but not least, a handy new mirrored storage closet which both hides our functional-but-not-very-pretty floral supplies, and serves as a great visual tool when making bouquets (it's the little things)!

I've also been carrying the camera around the studio more often, taking photos of our everyday floral work and practicing tricks and tips learned from my photographer friend Katie Pritchard who took many of the photos that you see featured on our new site design. I've got a ways to go, but I'm having fun documenting the little moments and behind the scenes action that goes into the floral designs we create each week. More to come on that!

The other great thing about Spring: All the sweet, heartbreakingly delicate flowers! Each season has its own flourish of beautiful flowers in bloom, but there is no season like Spring when it comes to those perfect luminescent petals and heady fragrances. Here are just a few of my favorites at the moment:

From left: foxglove, grape hyacinth, ranunculus, tulip, narcissus, peony, anemone, spider gerbera daisy, sweet pea, craspedia, poppy, tree peony, delphinium.

What about you? What is your favorite thing about Spring? What new beginnings are starting to take shape in your daily life? I'd love to hear!

PS. As I fire up the blog again, are there any particular posts you'd like to see? More posts on recent weddings, design inspiration, a tutorial, perhaps a Q and A ? Let me know if there is a subject matter you'd be keen to read up on!

'Til next time,

Adrienne
